Which Chalk Talk?

I Love the new chalk talk from Stampin' Up! with the coordinating framelit dies. It makes for a super easy card. I need some help though, I'm trying to decide between these two designs for an upcoming workshop.
Which one do you like best?

Strawberry Slush reminds me of summer!

I absolutely LOVE Stampin Up's new in colours! This card features the new colours strawberry slush and bermuda bay (bermuda bay is a new colour that has been incorporated into the Brights). I think these two colours were made to go with each other and remind me of summer.  We've just escaped from the chill of winter to holiday in Qld so this card fits with our holiday fun perfectly!

Stamps: Word Play
Accessories: black and white bakers twine, whole punch, modern mosaic textured embossing folder, vintage faceted button, apothecary accents embossing folder, labels collection framelit dies
I've also used some washi tape and sequins (non stampin up).
Cardstock: strawberry slush, bermuda bay, daffodil delight, basic black

Ink + Cardstock = beautiful card!

It never ceases to amaze me how simple it is to create such a beautiful card with Stampin Up products. Here I have just stamped the Papaya Collage set on Whisper White card stock layered on top of an embossed soft sky card.  I used the Word Play set to stamp a nice saying and then stamped and cut around the butterfly and used a stampin dimensional  to pop it out.  I've used some lace that i had lying around and sewed it on top of the card and put some twine behind the butterfly and lastly placed a vintage faceted button on top of the butterfly (these are my favorite buttons! )
What do you think?

Stamp sets: Word Play,
Papaya Collage
Ink: Soft Sky, Smokey Slate,  Pistachio
Pudding, summer starfruit,
Accessories: Soft sky card, whisper white card, vintage faceted button,  twine, lace, modern mosaic embossing folder, sewing machine

Recycling old books!

I just love being able to create from recycled items. The gorgeous old paper behind the strip of vellum was ripped (gasp!) from an old book I found at an opp shop. It has really antique look to it and almost falls apart in your hands it's so old! This card was super easy and so quick to put together! So go and grab yourself an old book from the opp shop and get ripping!

27th March 2013

I have just joined the blogging community and I thought I'd post some cards I've been making lately. I won't include a detailed description of each card because it would take me forever! I hope you enjoy looking at them!
