Which Chalk Talk?

I Love the new chalk talk from Stampin' Up! with the coordinating framelit dies. It makes for a super easy card. I need some help though, I'm trying to decide between these two designs for an upcoming workshop.
Which one do you like best?

Lovin' the new catalogue!

So I arrived home to a massive box of goodies from the new catalogue...SO EXCITING!
I was so happy to get a chance to sit down today and have a little play. I'm finding it harder and harder to get time to sit down to stamp with 3 little ones but I use it as my motivation to get through the jobs quickly so I can reward myself with some stamping time when they're in bed!

This card uses some great new supples from Stampin' Up! I randomly stamped the Tape It and Gorgeous Grunge in Bermuda bay, crushed curry and strawberry slush (loving how these new colours look together!) I stamped the cute sentiment from Chalk Talk in whisper white cardstock and then used the coordinating Chalk Talk dies to cut it out using the big shot. I tied some new crushed curry ribbon on top and layered it on top of a thin strip of strawberry slush cardstock. What do you think?

Supplies:

Stamps: Chalk Talk, Tape It, Gorgeous Grunge
Ink: Bermuda Bay, Strawberry Slush, Crushed Curry
Cardstock: Bermuda Bay, Strawberry Slush & Whisper White
Other supplies: Chalk Talk framelit dies, Chevron embossing folder, Crushed Curry Chevron Ribbon, Whisper White bakers twine

Strawberry Slush reminds me of summer!

I absolutely LOVE Stampin Up's new in colours! This card features the new colours strawberry slush and bermuda bay (bermuda bay is a new colour that has been incorporated into the Brights). I think these two colours were made to go with each other and remind me of summer.  We've just escaped from the chill of winter to holiday in Qld so this card fits with our holiday fun perfectly!

Stamps: Word Play
Accessories: black and white bakers twine, whole punch, modern mosaic textured embossing folder, vintage faceted button, apothecary accents embossing folder, labels collection framelit dies
I've also used some washi tape and sequins (non stampin up).
Cardstock: strawberry slush, bermuda bay, daffodil delight, basic black

Why I do what I do!

I love this... it really sums up why I am a Stampin Up demonstrator! If you're interested in getting some inspiration in this arena please don't hesitate to contact me! I'd love to hear from you!

Ink + Cardstock = beautiful card!

It never ceases to amaze me how simple it is to create such a beautiful card with Stampin Up products. Here I have just stamped the Papaya Collage set on Whisper White card stock layered on top of an embossed soft sky card.  I used the Word Play set to stamp a nice saying and then stamped and cut around the butterfly and used a stampin dimensional  to pop it out.  I've used some lace that i had lying around and sewed it on top of the card and put some twine behind the butterfly and lastly placed a vintage faceted button on top of the butterfly (these are my favorite buttons! )
What do you think?

Stamp sets: Word Play,
Papaya Collage
Ink: Soft Sky, Smokey Slate,  Pistachio
Pudding, summer starfruit,
Accessories: Soft sky card, whisper white card, vintage faceted button,  twine, lace, modern mosaic embossing folder, sewing machine

Recycling old books on your scrapbook layouts

I had a lot of interest in my blog the other day about recycling old books on your card layouts, but I thought I'd show you an example of how you can use them on your scrapbook pages too. I think they look awesome and add a great texture. Does anyone else have any ideas about recycling in your crafting? I'd love to hear. On this layout I've used my cameo silhouette to cut the leaves and the daddy title. I've sprayed the leaves with Stampin Up vanilla smooch spritz and used my sponge daubers to sponge the edges. I have then crumpled them up. I'm really happy with how it turned out!

Recycling old books!

I just love being able to create from recycled items. The gorgeous old paper behind the strip of vellum was ripped (gasp!) from an old book I found at an opp shop. It has really antique look to it and almost falls apart in your hands it's so old! This card was super easy and so quick to put together! So go and grab yourself an old book from the opp shop and get ripping!
